Final Fantasy Tactics A2 - impressions

Square-Enix fans have a lot of titles to get them excited, and FFTA2 was one of them. I say ‘was’ considering the title is now available in North America, and has been in Japan for quite some instance. Final Fantasy Tactics was quite a big title back in the day, and I feel that I am lost out on something by not

having played the original, nor the sequel. I just know that the gameplay isn’t for me. I can see myself wasting hours and hours, not getting anywhere, and thereupon dying/losing the little that I accomplished. Anyone else too intimidated to jump into these games?
