Is the Gaming Media Biased? The Microsoft Payola

Are their gaming media outlets that are biased? Of course there are, it’s an unavoidable fact. I wish that weren’t the case, but there are always citizens that will let their personal preference get in the way of reporting news. Now, when you bring money into the situation, that’s an entirely different argument.

Apparently, a large group of public feel that multiple media outlets focus much more on Microsoft than they do Nintendo or Sony. Some folks even feel that outlets are in cahoots with Microsoft to give them more coverage. I

don’t know how I feel about those claims…I think that’s taking things a bit too far.

What I can say is that Nintendo isn’t getting the amount of coverage it deserves. The mainstream press is all by Nintendo, but the gaming media largely ignores them. How on earth can the number 1 console/portable developer not be getting a fair share of coverage? Besides the usual sales charts and revenue info, how much Nintendo talk do you see on multiplatform sites?
