Square-Enix trademark points to Chrono Trigger…but in what way?

News of the Chrono Trigger port to DS is old. We all know the game is coming, and we have been drooling by it the past few weeks. Just recently, Square-Enix trademarked the title ‘Echoes of Time’, which seems to relate to Chrono Trigger. Is that a subtitle

for the upcoming DS port, or is there something else going on. Why bring the Chrono series back now, unless there were some plans to extend it? Thanks to Blindside for the heads up!
