Subjective/opinionated game reviews – good or poor?

Who the hell knows what would form a good review? Is there a style that would be universally accepted? I often try and think of new ways to review games…I actually just spent a few hours tonight doing so. Reviews right now fall into the very opinionated approach. I am

not saying that is a poor thing at all…just stating it as fact. Is that how you like your reviews, or do you have something else in mind that might work out better?
