The game-hype rollercoast: we wait in line, ride the ride, and quickly exit

I’ve often felt that about the video game industry. How many months do we spend hyping up titles, discussing every little bit we can? Now, compare that to the amount of instance we spend talking about the game after it releases. There’s about a month period in there where we play the game, and soak it all up. After that, it’s downhill…and

fast. There are a few games that escape that ride, but by and large, most titles are forgotten within the same month they were purchased. We are an evil, greedy market. We are quick to judge, and even quicker to toss aside.
