The Xbox 360 may get a price drop in in Europe come March 14th. That’s what the latest round of rumors are saying. by at PCWorld, Matt Peckham seems to think that that drop may very well hurt the Wii. While a price drop would indeed assemble the 360 that much more appealing, I do not agree with Mr. Peckham’s further statements.

A considerable part of the Xbox 360’s revenue model is Xbox Live and aftermarket online and/or casual game sales. Drop the 360

price into Wii territory and get your marketing team going toe-to-toe with Nintendo on the casual-online front and you just might redraw the battle lines.

I’m sorry, but when you are talking about casual markets, I really don’t see the folks that bought the Wii plus going for a 360. The motion controls really are the key here, not the casual titles like Zuma. That’s my opinion anyway…what do you think?
