Wii Sports Resort’s swordfighting uses 1:1 motion, but you wouldn’t know it from the way E3 goers played

This was something that really bugged me about the Wii Sports Resort. The game features the MotionPlus accessory, and it really does assemble a difference in the way you play. The problem is, when it came to swordfighting…no one even bothered to really try it. The training portion of the game came up, and everyone was all by the 1:1 control, chopping blocks and pencils down to size. Once the actual

fighting started, citizens went right back to the ridiculous Wiimote waggling they’ve been doing since day one.

I wanted to have some truly epic swordfights, and those are without a doubt possible. The problem is, you have to find someone that is willing to take a tactical approach, rather than flailing their limbs about.
